We offer four recreational volleyball leagues for youth between the ages of six and eighteen. Playing any sport is beneficial however; Volleyball is more than just a sport it! It offers a lifetime of friendships, play, competition, and enjoyment. The goal is to teach our youth the physical aspects the game of volleyball and in the process develop character-building skills such as leadership, teamwork, respect, and communication.

Girls Farm (ages 6-9)
Girls 12U (ages 10-12)
Girls 14U (ages 13-14)
Girls 16U (ages 15-16)
Girls 18U (ages 17 -18)
Volleyball has two seasons!
Fall Season Registration: Registration: Beginning of June-Mid-August
(Practices begin the week school begins and the last game is around Thanksgiving)
Spring Season Registration: Registration: January – February
(Practices begin late March or 1st week of April. Last game is around when school is out)
Youth Recreational Volleyball Camps:
Tidewater Volleyball Association (TVA) has various youth camps and clinics throughout the season. Please check their website for more information. TVA
Age Determination:
*Players turning the age of a division on or before Sept 30th of the current school year to qualify to play in that division. Players can decide to "play up" if they turn the age of eligibility within the season of play. If you would like your child to "play up", Please register for the division in which your child should play, then send an email to request to "play up".
**Spring league registration typically ends at the end of February and Fall ends at the end of August. Please reach out directly via Email to inquire about potential waitlist/late registration. -- Late Fees may apply.
***Kids that play High School Varsity or Junior Varsity Volleyball are not eligible to play Recreation League Ball if both seasons occur at the same time.
FAQ
Q. What day of the week are games on?
A. All Farm League games are scheduled on Saturdays at Bird neck Elementary School. Most games for other divisions are also on Saturdays with weeknight games possible.
NOTE: Games days/times are set by the City of VB for all divisions other than Farm League.
Q. When will practices begin?
A. Practices begin the first week in April at the latest - often Mid-March depending on school gymnasium availability.
Q. When does the season end?
A. Around when school is out in June.
Q. Does my child need prior experience?
A. No! We welcome children of all experience and skill levels.
Q. I want to coach. What do I need to do?
A. Excellent; we can always use coaches! Please sign up as a coach or assistant coach during
the registration process for your child. See our Volunteering Section. You can also send an email.

Q. What day are practices on?
A. Practices can be any day Monday through Friday. All practices will begin at or after 6:30 PM. There are many teams, so we try to accommodate practice day requests.
